Our engineer was approached by a hotel owner whilst working at a nearby site to request attendance to a faulty ice machine that had recurring faults. We resolved the fault with the machine on the same afternoon, keeping the cost to a minimum as he was already nearby. The hotel owner immediately appointed us as contractor for refrigeration breakdowns in the bar and kitchen.
During one of our engineer’s visits, the hotel owner advised he had been experiencing problems for some time with the air conditioning system supplying the hotel rooms. This had led to many costly repair bills with the previous service provider. Our engineer investigated the issues and reported that there had been no planned maintenance to the units for over 10 years. The hotel owner advised it was difficult to achieve as the rooms were always in use.
Our management team worked with the hotel owner offering several options to provide preventative maintenance to the air conditioning in the hotel rooms and we worked out a plan that provided minimal disruption to the availability of the rooms. Invoices were submitted in a staged manner allowing the overall costs to be spread over a few months. The hotel has not reported a single breakdown to the room air conditioning since the initial maintenance visit was completed more than 18 months ago.
